Thank you Marianne!

Well appreciated help…

This year, thanks to the Canada Summer Jobs program, D’Arts et de rêves was able to welcome Marianne Levesque as coordinating assistant.

Marianne arrived in early June, just in time by the way, as the 2021 summer was shaping up to be particularly busy, even by the D’Arts et de rêves standards.

This communications student, wishing to gain experience in addition to being interested in art and culture, came out of the blue and was a perfect fit for the position. We first entrusted her with the fundraising campaign and updating the contact lists, then we sent her to the residence to help with the painting and cleaning required after the renovations.

Marianne is quite a handy person!

Our assistant worked, in collaboration with Caroline Guimont, on the coordination and promotion of the Samedis DAR (DAR Saturdays) and on the preparation of the July 3rd grand reopening of the Studios DAR Sutton.

Marianne also played an important role in the coordination of MusArt 3, our annual fundraising event. As a matter of fact, she was in charge of the virtual auction and the casting of children for the art film Le Sentier. What’s more, her summer job at D’Arts et de rêves enabled Marianne to put her writing skills to work, composing press releases and biographies of artists in residence.

We are quite happy with Marianne’s work. Reliable, hard-working, and always fun to be around, her presence allowed us to move forward with ongoing projects while ensuring a smooth flow of activities.

On behalf of the entire D'Arts et de rêves team, thank you Marianne!
