Residing at Studios DAR Sutton in the summer or fall of 2021, time to apply!

Call for projects

D'Arts et de rêves has launched its call for projects for the 2021 and 2022 residencies. After a year marked by a major renovation project and strict health regulations due to the ongoing pandemic, we will reopen in the summer in new facilities to welcome artists in the fields of visual arts, contemporary circus arts, and literary arts. The call invites artisans from these fields to present their approaches and projects for residencies of two (2) to six (6) weeks at Studios DAR Sutton. An independent jury composed of professionals from each discipline will select the projects and artists.

Grants

New this year, D'Arts et de rêves will offer grants in an open competition for all professional artists who wish to present a three (3) week project and obtain a $1,500 grant in addition to free accommodation and studio rental. One bursary per discipline will be awarded, also by an independent jury.

Studios DAR Sutton

D'Arts et de rêves welcomes a large proportion of Quebec and Canadian artists as well as many creators from around the world. With its new facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, the residence distinguishes itself by its bucolic environment, on a magnificent site in the village of Sutton.

Artists in residence have the opportunity to be accompanied in the production of events to which you are invited. These cultural mediation activities are at the heart of D'Arts et de rêves' mission, which aims to promote the work of those visiting its site during their residency.

Deadline

Artists who wish to reside at Studios DAR Sutton between July and December 2021 are invited to respond to the call for projects before March 31, 2021.
