Clown artists Dolorèze Léonard and Roxanne de Bruyn met last April during the En Piste forum.

Inspired by Miss Linda and Greta, their pre-existing characters, Dolorèze and Roxanne decided to have them evolve in a common project around an original theme: public safety.

"Our project, during this residency, will be to research and develop skits and stories around eight places, for example a pothole in an alley, land alongside railway tracks... Miss Linda and Greta of the SMP j’écoute! (I'm listening) organization offer a security and protection service to the city of Montreal. Through their insatiable quests, they create poetic, funny, absurd atmospheres that question urbanism and provide a fresh perspective to seemingly innocuous places."

Roxanne de Bruyn

After studying theater at the Conservatory of Brussels, Roxanne got involved in creations that aim to abolish boundaries between art and life. She has devoted a large part of her work to research, to the physical work of actors, and to circus dynamics. Roxanne created Greta, her first solo encounter on stage: Greta is a prison guard, a character who questions the confined spaces through poetry, performance, text, and clowning.
