Artists in residence during Spring 2018
Artistic encounter with Jimmy and Erika
During our last 5 to 7 gathering, we had the chance to witness the research and creation work of Jimmy Gonzalez and Erika Nguyen, contemporary circus artists. The duo dazzled us with their presentation that included aspects of circus, dance, and real clay!
Two visual artists
Lucie Michel and Deanna Pizzitelli, visual artists, were both in residence at the end of May.
Lucie Michel, art teacher at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, set up shop on the 2nd floor of the barn to paint intensively.
Deanna Pizzitelli, from Toronto, has traveled extensively around the world and Canada to complete her photographic archive project. Her goal was to explore Sutton and the surrounding area to capture landscapes and people. Her material will feed her next exhibitions.
