Thanks to Stephanie and Vanessa!
This year, D'Arts et de rêves was quite fortunate, thanks to Emploi Québec, to welcome Stéphanie L'Italien, as co-ordination assistant, and Vanessa Bélanger, as landscaping assistant.
Stéphanie was with us from May to December. We first entrusted her with the fundraising campaign and the Volunteer Day, and then asked her to coordinate some of the artists' meetings. She quickly learned to put our newsletters online and to visualize and publicize upcoming events. At the end of her contract, she even discovered the world of grant applications!
Even though Stéphanie worked most of the time in the D’Arts et de rêves offices, she was still present at the events. She was also seen in the park where she eagerly participated in working bees! She leaves us, having gained valuable experience which will give her more ease in the organization of her next artistic projects.
Vanessa worked in the park from July to November. She considered herself very lucky to work outside every day while admiring Mount Sutton. It is thanks to her efforts that the park remained in such good condition. When certain working bees required extra arms, she willingly joined the volunteers, whether for weeding, removing knotweed, or planting trees. One of her last tasks was to burn wood debris on a snowy ground; three of us took turns helping Vanessa.
The D'Arts et de rêves team is happy to have worked with Stéphanie and Vanessa. They enabled us to move forward in our projects and therefore offer a great experience to artists and visitors alike. Many thanks to you both!
